MEET CAPTAIN RODNEY
I was fortunate enough to retire from the corporate world at an early age to follow the cruising lifestyle and travel the world. I began my offshore sailing career answering ads for offshore crew and visited ports in Africa, South America, Central America and the South Pacific before setting off on my first circumnavigation. My trip took me to ports all over the world, places like French Polynesia, New Zealand and Australia and also off the beaten path to places like the remote British Indian Ocean Territory of the Chagos Islands or exotic ports like Mumbai, India. I have experience as both Captain and as crew, from corporate executive to deck hand. If you are interested in the adventure travel legs you will find I am both competent and experienced, but also good-natured, patient and an excellent teacher. If you are interested in our charter, we will offer the opportunity to experience the cruising lifestyle in some of the most beautiful, and interesting ports in the world-from the reefs of Belize, jungle rivers of Guatemala, to the islands of the South Pacific and the majestic sights and sounds of New Zealand. Learn to sail, or lay back and enjoy your holiday, participate as little or as much as you'd like. Thank you for your interest in sailing on the yacht, Dream Time. I would like to tell you a little about myself, the yacht, and the cruising lifestyle. My name is Rodney Collier and I am an experienced licensed USCG Master. I recently finished my first circumnavigation aboard my first yacht, Satisfaction Plus and have sailed approximately 50,000 miles offshore. Dream Time, is a beautiful, fully equipped 77' classic ketch on her first circumnavigation. If you have never sailed before, trust me, sailing is a fantastic way to see the world and an adventure you will never forget!
